Project Description

Inn at Whitewell is an old fashioned Lancashire rural Inn, welcoming to all, seriously good local ingredients cooked well and a noteworthy selection of drinks. They aim to offer a relaxed and friendly service, avoiding too much frippery, devoid of snobbery but hopefully providing an experience that is relevant, very enjoyable and not too expensive. The Inn is perfectly located for a whole host of activities and they can organise some of the best Lancashire fishing on the river Hodder, walking, tutored wine tastings and more.

The Inn at Whitewell is located deep in the Forest of Bowland and makes a beautiful 6 mile drive from Wolfen Mill Country Retreats. You can enjoy a walk to the Inn from one of our Cottages, its just 4.5 miles across beatiful Forest of Bowland countryside. Thus making it possible to do the round trip mixed with a fabulous relaxing lunch with in the day.

Lunch is served from noon until 2 pm and dinner from 7 pm until 9 pm its best to arrive reserve a table on line as it can be very popular at times.  NOTE – at the present time dining is by advance reservation only.

A few years ago a program called the trip and featuring Rob Brydan and Steve Cogan featured the Inn at Whitewell.
